Liverpool Beatles Museum
For any music fan, a trip to Liverpool isn’t complete without a Beatles experience of some kind. While the city boasts many different ways to get your Fab Four fix, I chose Liverpool Beatles Museum. It’s located in the city center, just a short walk from Liverpool Lime Street train station. That makes it a perfect stop on a quick trip to Liverpool, or if you’re staying a little longer. Tickets are a reasonable £20 (right around $27) for a museum that showcases more than a thousand pieces of rock-and-roll (and film) history across three floors of exhibits.
As a bonus, the museum is located just steps away from “the birthplace of The Beatles,” the famous Cavern Club. The Beatles took the stage at this historic club nearly 300 times between 1961 and 1963. Even though it’s been rebuilt, it’s still a piece of history worth checking out! The museum itself also includes an original brick from The Cavern and a piece of the original stage. You can also grab a drink and a bite at Cavern Pub, which also features free live music every night. I enjoyed some fish and chips and a pint after my museum visit (the pub is sort of a mini museum of its own, with various music memorabilia).
